About Sri Navamohana Krishna Perumal Temple

Lord Sri Krishna who was born to Vasudevar and Devaki in Mathura, was brought up by Nandagopanl and Yasodhai in Aayarpadi (Gokulam). This is the place where Sri Krishna spent all of his childhood days.Saint & Poet Soordasar, who is one of the Sishyas of Sri Vallabhacharyar was a blind person and after he was brought up to this temple, he was blessed with Sri Krishna and praised the Lord with lots of poems.

In the life of a person, there are two main relationships that will continue and end till his life. One is the beloved mother and the next is the wife. For Sri Krishna, there are two mothers, Devaki who gave him the birth and the other one is Yasodha who helped him to grow and lead his life. Like how he got two mother, he got two wives also. One is Sri Rukmani and the other one is Sri Sathyabama. Thus, Sri Krishna gives importance to both of his mothers and his two wives. To explain this, this deity Sri Navamohana Krishnan gives his dharshan along with his two wives, Sri Rukmani and Sri Sathyabama in Standing Position.

Sri Navamohana Krishna Perumal Temple is one of the famous Hindu temple. It is Situated  in town Gokul  of Mathura district,Uttarpradesh.Mathura  is the birth place of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna was born to Vasudevar and Devaki ,he was brought up by Nandagopalan and Yasodhai in Aayarpadi(Gokulam). Sri Krishna spent all his childhood days in Aayarpadi(Gokulam).The Saint and Poet Soordasar, Who is the Sishyas of Sri Vallabhacharyar,he was a blind person and after he brought up to this temple, he was blessed by Sri Krishna and he praised the lord with lots of poems.

The history of Aayarpadi is closely related with Saint & Poet Soordasar and Sathyabama.Sathyabama was feeling lonely in that palace.She wants to see Sri Krishna .But Sri Krishna was not able to come to that palace.At that time,Akroorar came to that palace.He saw the restlessness of Sri Sathyabama he asked the reason for her restlessness.She told that she wants to meet Sri Krishna In one minute, if he doesnt come in a minute, she will sacrifice her life.She will do whatever he says,like as her name Sathyabama ,Akroorar went and search Sri Krishna he could not find him anywhere.The time is running so akroorar decided to change himself as Sri Krishna and stood infront of Sathyabama.She could not recognise the Akroorar.she started to talk to him in love words.

After this, Akroorar went towards Sri Krishna and told him what had happened. On hearing this, Sri Krsihna got angry on him and shouted at him that he has imitated as the Lord (Paramathma) and has comitted a very bad sin and that is his eyes saw Sathyabama in a different way. so, Sri Krishna gave him a curse that in the next birth he will be born as a blind person and Sathyabama as an ordinary working person. But, at the same time, he said once they get the Gnana, their Sabham will be clear.

In the next birth, he born as “Soordasar”. Inspite of being blind only in vision, his Gnana was so bright and he always praised the Lord through his songs and finally he got the relived from the curse through Sri Krishna.
